- Alerts
-
- Alerts are used to warn the user that an unusual situation has occurred
-
- and that data may or may not be lost if they continue. There are two
-
- kinds of alerts: beeps and alert boxes. Beeps are used for errors that
-
- are minor and immediately obvious. Alert boxes resemble a modal dialog
-
- box.
-
- .
-
- Alert boxes usually contain static text explaining why the alert appeared
-
- and two buttons: OK and Cancel. The user must select one or the other
-
- to continue. Alerts may contain buttons, icons, pictures and static text.
-
- An example of a note alert would be a warning that there is insufficient
-
- memory.
